About the Product
Beiruti Za’atar: One of the most popular spice blends used in the Middle East, this Za’atar is a versatile medley of herbs (thyme, marjoram, oregano) blended with a touch of sumac and sesame seeds. Enjoy it as a dip with olive oil and salt, lebneh, or use it on roast chicken, vegetables, or even mixed in a salad dressing!
NYC Halal Cart: If you have ever had Halal cart chicken in NYC, you know exactly what this blend tastes like. Recreate this iconic dish at home. It can also be used in any dish calling for a mild curry flavor, including chickpea, vegetable, and shrimp dishes.
About the Company
Daughters of Egyptian immigrant home cooks, sisters-in-law Elkady and Nokaly were never strangers to spice. Growing up in Queens, they absorbed the flavors of their international neighborhoods—Moroccan ras el hanout, Indian chai, Greek gyro seasoning, Mexican barbacoa. All eventually joined Spice Tree’s catalog of 15 organic, small-batch, non-irradiated blends.
They source the highest quality spices which are USDA organic, non-irradiated, GMO free, and contain no preservatives, fillers, or food coloring. They are then ground by hand in small batches.
