About the Product
Apricot Kernels: Roasted and salted sweet apricot kernels are an excellent source of protein, Fiber, and Omega 3 fats, making them a superfood. Farmed in Bamiyan, they have more protein than almonds.
Dried Mulberries: Deliciously sweet and crunchy, Ziba white mulberries grow wild in the Hindu Kush Mountains of Afghanistan. This rare superfood is a wonderful source of Fiber, Iron, Riboflavin, Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Vitamin K. Our hand-picked Afghan white mulberries are sun-dried, unlike other varieties – making them crunchy instead of chewy. Eat them as a snack or use as a complement to any dish needing sweetness.
Heirloom Almonds: Grown in central Afghanistan, almonds in the Gurbandi family feature sweet flavor profiles, a light color and a wide variety of shapes and sizes. Gurbandi
almonds are higher in protein, Omega-3 fatty acids, folate and B2 vitamins than
most almonds. Like all Afghan almonds, Gurbandi varieties are grown naturally
Sun Dried Figs: Highly sought-after for their sweetness and consistently high quality, Ziba figs grow in Afghanistan’s Kandahar province. They are fully ripened and sun-dried on the tree before being hand-picked and flattened into disks. Because they are naturally sun-dried. they have the perfect consistency. A forgotten superfood, figs are loaded with Fiber, Calcium, B1 and B2, Copper and Iron.
